Any suggestions, or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I purchased a used-truck for my 18 year old that decided after I bought the truck he did not want it, he wanted a new car. The truck worth 12k i paid k. My dad in the meantime needed transportation and we agreed that he could come and get the truck and use it and pay for it when he could, me thinking it would be about 2 months as my dad stated and he would pay me about 0 a month, as time passed he got more and more comfortable with the truck and stopped talking about paying me back. He then gets a little extra money from a fast cash transaction and gave the profits of that to his now step daughter for her a new car, when I objected to this he got irate and told me that he did not owe me for the truck hung up on me, has demanded an apology for accusing him of stealing and hasnt spoken to me in over 6 months.

He has the title, that is another story,I was keeping the title and he got in vast hurry to get the title transferred into his name and get the truck registered, I of course objected to that too but after seeing how he got so offended by me saying "no", with his comment, "what do you think your dad is going to rip you off, I highly doubt it," with me seeing his reaction towards my objection, I seen his point as a father, and daughter in an auto transaction, with me trusting him, I went ahead and mailed him the title, he lives out of state, allowed him to get the truck registered in his name, cause at this point we are still in a verbal agreement, he is going to pay me 0 a month for 12 months. We still had an agreement.

to make a long story short, he completely stopped talking to me refuses to answer the phone when I call, I have written him 4 letters since this incident 6 months ago, regarding a resolution to this matter as of date not a word from him, in fact my oldest brother asked him about this issue several weeks ago, by the way he picked up the truck over 1 year ago and has never made 1 payment, however, my dad responds to my brother with, "are we still talking about this" why can people just let it go and forget about it and go on down the road?", yeah well dont most people say or think along those lines when they owe money to someone, in essence my dad has let the vehicle and his twisted distorted lies come between us.

Any suggestions…..I am at times in awe that my very own father could do this to me but I guess it goes with out saying cant trust no one.
#2 person, thanks for your answer, no to the first question I have never borrowed nor owe him a dime never have never will, yes by the way, he has displayed this distorted behavior many times due to he has always felt people owe him and he has NEVER EVER taken on any responsibility by himself, he always has been able to con people into either helping him or conning them out of something completely. I was told by my next to my oldest brother that my dad told him that if I step foot on his property that he would call the law on me and have me arrested for auto theft.

bought a car from this used car dealership from a city about 45 miles from my house. went there because they had a car i wanted that was hard to find for a good deal. bought it back in february and they gave me my first temporary permit with an expiration date on march 30. after it expired i called them to see if they had my plates yet and they said oh it looks like the car we sold u still needed to get emissions/inspections done. they were supposed to send somebody to come up to my city and do it but they were lagging, so i made an agreement to drive down there as long as they give me a full tank of gas. so i drove down there and got it done and they gave me another temporary permit. about the middle of april i got a notice from my bank who i pulled out an auto loan for saying that they havent recieved the title and they supposed to hold on to it until i pay off the loan. so i gave them a call and told them all had happened and i thougt the dealer was supposed to take care of it. they told me they’ll send a letter to them and demand it. they also sent me a copy of this letter. right now i have about one more week before my 2nd tag expires and still no plates yet. i gave the dealer a call but no one picked up and now they have an answering machine saying that they are going out of business due to hard economic times. so i dont know if they gave my bank the title, and have no way of finding out if they have my plates. i’ve been having a hard time with this dealer, but wat sucks is that i already paid them for the car. wat can i do if this dealer just bails out on me? how do i get a new title a long with plates?
i checked the vin before i bought the car and its clean. no accidents no salvage or anything, also if this car was no good i dont think i could’ve gotten a loan for it.

The banker told me everything was fine and that they need a car purchase agreement and letter of origin and proof of insurance. I don’t get it. How do I get these things without actually buying the car? And how do I buy a car without having some kind of financing already in hand when I am ready to buy? Can somebody explain the process?

Car Credit – Your Options

Car credit is an all encompassing term for the hows and whys of financing the purchase of a new or used car. Its ambit covers loans, payments options, car refinance and leasing. It’s a complex subject so let’s look at a few fundamentals you need to understand before venturing out into these waters.

Do you have the option of going in for a secured loan? Secured loans are offered against collateral such as fixed assets or property and the interest rate is lower than for unsecured loans. However, since unsecured car loans are easy to come by, you may prefer to keep the secured loan option for some other purpose.

Before applying for car credit get a copy of your latest credit report and fix any issues which may have a negative impact on a potential lender.
Car credit covers both buying and leasing. Leasing is cheaper, but what you get is the right to use a car for the lease period after which you give it back to the leasing company. You have not bought a car and it is not your property.

Be careful in filling out your application for car credit. The application will be checked in detail and an honest error may appear, to the finance company, as an attempt to mislead them.
Research all the car credit options available to you but do not make multiple loan applications. These will be reflected in your credit report and may make it seem that you are desperate for a loan which may make potential lenders wary.

Getting a loan through a car dealer is usually quick and easy since the dealer knows the finance companies well and knows how applications are evaluated. He will be able to guide you on how to apply and the pitfalls to avoid.

Be realistic in planning your purchase and monthly installment budget. It is tempting to go in for a great sounding offer that will allow you to buy a car you never thought you could afford. But the bottom line to use for evaluating any car credit offer is how much you will be paying every month and how much is towards the car and how much is interest in the loan.

Prepare a budget you are comfortable with. Do not fall into the trap of availing of higher car credit in the expectation of increased income in the future. Base your planning on what is, not what will be.
At the same time, remember that taking car credit for the maximum time possible may reduce your monthly payments, but the longer duration of the loan will increase the amount you will be paying in interest.

Keep accurate records of everything – your down payment, all extra expenditures like insurance, registrations and so on, your monthly installments etc. In case of any disputes with the finance company, you have all the information you need with you.

So if you have less than stellar credit, you may want to take steps to change that, since one of the many benefits you will derive from having a good credit score is very likely to include lower car insurance rates.

I have dealt with three different car finance companies over the years and Ford Credit was by far the rudest, most aggressive and uncaring! The way I was spoken to by (female) employees just astounded me and ensured I…
